Westmoreland bunker renovation approaches completion
Westmoreland Country Club in Export, Pennsylvania, USA, is approaching completion of a bunker renovation project.
The club, whose golf course was designed by Dick Wilson in 1954, is regrading, reshaping and rebuilding 41 bunkers, with a Capillary Concrete bunker lining system.
Bill Stowers, the club’s superintendent, is overseeing the project, with the support of Heritage Links for construction work.
“With the new bunkers we expect the time we spend repairing and maintaining bunkers will dramatically drop,” said Stowers. “This bunker renovation is a part of our continuous effort to deliver excellent playing conditions to Westmoreland members and guests.”
The project is expected to be completed in mid-June.
