Upgrades made to practice facilities at PGA Catalunya Resort
A series of upgrades have been made to the practice facilities at the PGA Catalunya Resort near Girona, Spain.
The resort has extended the top teeing area of its natural grass driving range, which can now accommodate 100 bays.
A new putting green with Poa grass has also been introduced. This means that all four of the main grass types – Bermuda, Bent, Paspalum and Poa – can all be found within the club’s 2,000 sq m short game area.
The PGA Catalunya Resort is home to the Sergio Garcia Junior Academy, Dave Pelz’s Spanish Golf School, and two 18-hole courses – the Stadium Course and the Tour Course.
Miguel Girbes, director of golf at PGA Catalunya Resort, said: “The aim is to always provide the most memorable experience for those visiting PGA Catalunya Resort, whether they are an elite tour player, or are taking their first steps in the game.”
