The July 2020 issue of Golf Course Architecture is out now!
The July 2020 issue of Golf Course Architecture magazine is out now in both printed and digital formats.
The cover of this latest issue features Sheep Ranch, the new Coore & Crenshaw course that has opened for play at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon, USA.
Our main feature article focuses on the progress of golf construction work amid the coronavirus pandemic. Golf course architects including Caspar Grauballe, Beau Welling, Andy Haggar, Gareth Williams, Kevin Ramsey and Jeff Danner provide insight into how projects around the globe have moved forward during the crisis.
We also have reports from site visits to Seletar Country Club in Singapore, where Golfplan has reinvented the course following a land acquisition, and the Country Club of Orlando in Florida, where Ron Forse has reconstructed the course with a distinctly Donald Ross feel.
Also, Toby Ingleton hears from the principals of Clayton, DeVries & Pont about their plans for The Addington, while we also profile the Kyle Phillips course at Domaine de Murtoli in Corsica.
Elsewhere in the issue, Brandon Johnson shares four of his favourite golf course features, Brett Hochstein reflects on his experience at Askernish, and Marco Martin talks about how residential projects can bring the public closer to golf.
There is also news of Tom McBroom’s redesign of Caversham Heath ahead of its merger with Reading GC next year; Rees Jones talks about the redesign of the South course at BallenIsles Country Club in Florida; and we hear about the progress being made on Coore & Crenshaw’s new golf course in Saint Lucia.
There’s plenty more too – enjoy the issue!
