TGR Design completes two new PopStroke putting courses

A new PopStroke venue in Sarasota, Florida, will officially open on 28 April.

Featuring two 18-hole putting courses – The Tiger Red Course and The Tiger Black Course – the Sarasota PopStroke venue also includes an outdoor dining area, an outdoor playground and a two-story layout with a rooftop bar and private event space.

“We are incredibly excited to bring our unique entertainment brand to the Sarasota community,” said co-owner Greg Bartoli. “I have spent countless hours visiting Sarasota with my children for youth sporting events over the years and have long recognised the attributes that make Sarasota such a vibrant and thriving community. With an abundance of young families, working professionals, and retirees, Sarasota is the perfect fit for all that PopStroke has to offer in bringing people together across generations to enjoy the game of golf in an affordable, fun, and competitive environment.”

TGR Design, which entered into a partnership with PopStroke in 2019, created the courses, which use synthetic turf and have been designed to emulate a traditional golf course featuring undulation, fairways, bunkers and rough. The Red course is designed to challenge players with tricky hole locations and strong contouring, whilst the Black provides a gentler challenge.

“PopStroke is about bringing friends and families together to create lasting memories around the game of golf,” said Woods. “We have created two 18-hole putting courses that can be enjoyed by all, regardless of age or skill level. We look forward to welcoming a new generation of players to our unique putting experiences at PopStroke Sarasota.”

PopStroke’s customised mobile app allows customers to order drinks and food to be delivered directly to them anywhere on the course, display scores on a digital scoreboard and earn loyalty points.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on 25 April with Bartoli and representatives from TGR Ventures, Sarasota County officials and media present.

PopStroke already has two Florida venues, in Port St Lucie and Fort Myers, and is also planning to open facilities in Orlando, Houston, Tampa, Glendale, Salt River and Delray this year.
