Stonebridge G&CC course reopens following renovation project
The golf course at Stonebridge Golf and Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida, has reopened following a renovation project.
The work took 10 months to complete and has been overseen by golf course architect Kipp Schulties.
Much of the work has focused on improving the landscaping of the course, which was originally designed by Karl Litten.
“We are very excited to finally have completed this project,” said Jack Malvin, golf and greens committee chairman and project manager at Stonebridge Golf and Country Club. “The club’s goal was to preserve the unique layout of the golf course also making it playable for golfers at every level. Kipp Schulties took over this assignment and we can proudly say that he has come through for us in a big way.”
As well as the alterations to the course itself, Schulties has helped create a more naturalistic environment for local wildlife. The course will now be easier and less expensive to maintain going forward.
Schulties himself commented that he believes the redesign “will provide golfers with a course that is more in harmony with nature, and, more enjoyable and playable for every level of golfer.”
