Special issue of ASGCA’s By Design magazine now available
A special issue of the American Society of Golf Course Architects’ (ASGCA) By Design magazine celebrating the Longleaf Tee Initiative is now available.
Developed by the ASGCA Foundation with the support of the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation, the Longleaf Tee Initiative aims to help make golf more fun and appealing to the widest range of players possible.
This special edition features a roundtable article on the initiative, with contributions coming from ASGCA Foundation president Clyde Johnston and vice president Greg Muirhead, as well as the foundation’s former president John LaFoy.
There is also a feature on the initiative’s roots, and architect Bill Bergin discusses his work at the Longleaf Golf & Family Club in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and how the initiative has taken off.
By Design also reports on other multiple tee initiatives, while the interviewee for this issue’s Five to Finish article is Arthur Little.
