New Dreamland Golf Club unveiled at event in Azerbaijan

The official opening of the new Dreamland Golf Club has taken place in Baku, Azerbaijan.

As well as an 18-hole course designed by Cynthia Dye, the club is home to the Dreamland Golf Academy, which offers two IMG performance studios. Other facilities include a two-tiered driving range, and a nine-hole par three short course.

The club is the first of its kind in Baku, and Azerbaijan’s president Ilham Aliyev attended the grand opening

“We were delighted to host such a weekend of celebrations, and it was a pleasure to welcome so many international players who had travelled from countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkey to play our fantastic course,” said the club’s general manager Phil Jones. “We look forward to many more events in the future, and will continue to support Azerbaijan Golf Federation’s junior initiative ‘Flames Golf’, which makes golf known, accessible and fun for school children throughout the country, and promotes junior talent.”
