Latest phase of Burhill Golf Club renovation project gets underway
The latest phase of a six-year renovation project is currently taking place on the course at Burhill Golf Club in Surrey, UK.
The current work is focusing on redesign and relaying of the bunkering on four holes on the club’s New Course, which was originally designed by Simon Gidman.
Architect Tim Lobb of Thomson, Perrot and Lobb is working with course manager Rob Surgey to bring the changes about.
Burhill GC is also home to the historic Old Course, which was designed and built by Willie Park and his team and opened back in 1907.
Other elements of the latest work at the club include the introduction of a Halfway House between the eighth tee and ninth green on the Old Course, as well as renovations to the clubhouse.
