Ground broken on new Twin Dolphin course in Mexico

Ground has been broken on a new golf course in Los Cabos on Mexico’s Baja California peninsula.

Designed by a team from Todd Eckenrode - Origins Golf Design, the Twin Dolphin Golf Club course will take shape between a number of the arroyos that are prominent in the area, with views of the ocean throughout.

“With the first few holes cleared now, the anticipation is growing about what lies within this incredible land,” said Todd Eckenrode. “We are tremendously excited with the potential for this course. The land has a sense of place all its own, and we will be striving to make this the most unique and natural course in Cabo.”

The firm is working with Fred Couples on the project, and once complete, Twin Dolphin will be the first Fred Couples Signature Golf Course in Los Cabos.

Twin Dolphin Golf Club will be the latest in a number of interesting courses being built in Los Cabos. The Rees Jones’ designed Danzante Bay course is close to completion, while a new course designed by Robert Trent Jones II Golf Architects is also taking shape in the region.

The Twin Dolphin course is being created alongside two residential communities – Maravilla Los Cabos and Montage Residences Los Cabos – and is set to open in late 2018.
