Greg Norman-designed Aurora International to open in November 2021

Greg Norman Golf Course Design is progressing with a renovation of the golf course at the newly named Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club, located on the Caribbean island of Anguilla.

The former Resorts & Residences by CuisinArt was taken over by private investment firm Olympus Ventures –  the family office of Richard M. Schulze – in December 2020, with both the resort and golf course undergoing a transformation.

Greg Norman’s design firm is currently overseeing a ‘remastering’ of the 18-hole layout, which will be known as Aurora International Golf Club. It is the only golf course on the island and has views across Rendezvous Bay towards the Caribbean Sea. The renovated golf course will open for play in November 2021.

“After a 22-year run of Resorts & Residences by CuisinArt, a legend comes to an end and an exciting journey begins with this groundbreaking new brand,” said Simon A. Fricker, managing director for Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club. “Guided by a forward-thinking vision and the commitment to celebrating the destination, Aurora Anguilla will invite today’s luxury traveller to experience the island in ways that had never before been possible, paving the way for unforgettable escapes.”

A nine-hole short course, also designed by Norman, is being added for beginners, families and those wanting a quick round. The golf club will house practice facilities, locker rooms, recovery therapy rooms, a restaurant and more.

The over 300-acre Aurora Anguilla resort will also have its own fleet of jets, offering charter service for guests from select cities in the US.
