Grassing under way at new Fox Hills course in North Dakota
The first hole of a new golf course in Watford City, North Dakota, has now been grassed.
Designed by architect Kevin Norby, the new Fox Hills Golf Club course sees the creation of 12 new holes, which will play alongside nine existing holes which formerly comprised the Watford City Municipal Golf Course.
The grassing of what will be the fourteenth hole – a short, drivable par four – was finished this week.
The new 12 holes are set to be grassed by 1 September, with work being carried out by Landscapes Unlimited.
Once this first phase of the work is complete, a second phase of the project will then see the original nine holes close. Six more holes will be built to complete the full 18 at Fox Hills.
The first nine are expected to open in August 2018.
