For nearly 20 years, Matt Swanson served as senior designer for Fred Couples and Gene Bates. In 2010, Swanson Golf Design was formed, combining a background in art and a degree in landscape architecture with the experience of over one hundred golf course projects worldwide. Swanson Golf Design’s background in art and appreciation of the landforms found in nature form the basis for the firm’s philosophy of golf course design as a creative blending of art and design technology. Services provided by Swanson Golf Design include masterplanning, new design, renovations, and graphics for our clients. We have also developed close working relationships with numerous hall of fame golfers and golf course designers to assist with master planning, golf course design consultation, plan production and construction oversight. Recent projects include golf course design projects in the US, Singapore, Cambodia, Caribbean, and Mexico.
