A renovation project has been completed on the course at Verde River Golf & Social Club in Rio Verde, Arizona.

The recent work has been led by Lehman Design Group, working alongside golf course construction and maintenance company Pro-Turf International.

A vast amount of dirt had to be transferred from the golf course to club’s residential areas to balance residential building pads.

This naturally had an impact on the golf course, with as much as 20 feet of dirt moved from fairways in places. Lehman’s team was therefore brought in to redesign a number of holes.

Pro-Turf International worked with Lehman Design Group to oversee construction work, revamp bunkers, make changes the course’s irrigation system and create a new practice green and short-game area.

The Verde River course was originally designed by Ken Kavanaugh and opened in 2007.
