The new course at the West London Golf Centre will open next weekend.
The nine-hole, 3,037 yard, par-36 course has been designed by an in-house team from The Bridgedown Group, the centre’s owners.
“The launch of what we believe to be one of London’s top nine-hole courses is a significant moment for West London Golf Centre, and indeed for all golfers in the area,” said Tony Menai-Davis, West London Golf Centre owner. “It is an amazing full-length golf course, and we are looking forward to hearing people’s reactions to it. Not many brand-new courses open in the UK these days, and we think we have created a real cracker here at West London Golf Centre.”
The Bridgedown Group previously worked with Seve Ballesteros on the course at The Shire London, and is currently working with the Dye Designs team on the new Bury Farm course in North London.
“Over the last ten years we have been fortunate to meet many of the world’s great golf course architects, including of course Severiano Ballesteros and the Dye Designs team,” said Ceri Menai-Davis, director of The Bridgedown Group. “We have put what we have learnt from them to good effect at the new nine-hole course. West London Golf Centre stands for affordable yet very high-quality golf, and I believe that our new golf course lives up to that claim.”
The Bridgedown Group is also behind a new 18-hole course named West London Links, which is currently under construction on a site opposite the West London Golf Centre. West London Links is set to open in 2017.
The West London Golf Centre will host an opening weekend gala on 5-6 July to celebrate the new course’s opening.
