The European Golf Course Owners Association will be sharing the latest findings from its Vision 2020 research project at this year’s European Golf Business Conference.
Now in its ninth year, the annual event will be held at the Doubletree La Mola Resort in Barcelona, Spain from 4-6 November 2014. Over 200 golf course owners, managers and industry professionals from across Europe are expected to attend to discuss the latest trends and developments in the industry.
Over the three days, attendees will get the chance to hear from leading industry speakers about the EGCOA’s Vision 2020 research findings. The aim is to help them understand how the European golf industry can create a sustainable future and what the new and existing golfer is looking for in golf so they will stay actively involved in the game.
“Over the last 12 months we have been looking under the hood of the European golf industry, analysing past and present trends, statistics and industry data,” said Lodewijk Klootwijk, the EGCOA’s director. “We are very excited to share the results of the Vision 2020 project, which has unveiled some very interesting results.”
Adjacent to the hotel is the 2015 Spanish Open host venue Real Club de Golf El Prat, featuring 45 holes designed by Greg Norman. The club will play host to this year’s conference golf tournament and networking events.
