British all-weather surface firm Huxley Golf has appointed a new distributor for the growing Turkish golf market.

Side Golf will market Huxley's greens, tees and practice aids to golf courses, resorts, hotels and homes across the country, which is an increasingly popular golf destination, with the Belek region one of Europe's hotspots for development in recent years. Over half a million rounds of golf were played in the Belek area last year.

Side business development director Kieron Morrissey said: “Our partnership has already resulted in Belek’s Zeynep Golf Hotel benefiting from a new Huxley putting green and we look forward to working on many more projects in the future.”

Company owner Recep Turan said: “With continuing plans to develop the country’s courses and golf facilities, particularly in Ankara and Bodrum, this new distribution partnership will allow us to supply the all-weather, low-maintenance greens, tees and practice facilities to high-end resorts and hotels across the country. We are already looking at installations across a number of locations and demand is set to be high.”
