Agronomic consultancy firm Turfgrass has launched a new virtual consultation service that allows golf clubs to get turf advice without the requirement for a site visit.
The Turfgrass Virtual Turf Consultancy (VTC) service sees course managers uploading their golf course management data and imagery via a secure online system, for consultation by a team of experts from Turfgrass.
The team analyses the evidence and then provides the club with a tailor-made agronomic report and appropriate programme.
Julian Mooney, director of agronomy at Turfgrass, says: “Whilst a virtual consultation can never replace an onsite visit, Turfgrass VTC is a valuable service which has been developed in recent years and has successfully assisted our clients worldwide. This has been a perfect platform from which to support our clients, giving us immediate access to their golf course issues and delivering quick responsive solutions for them”.
Stephen Dundas, President of The San Roque Club (pictured above) in Spain, says: “Between their site visits, we have been using Turfgrass’s Virtual Turf Consultancy to great effect. It made a significant difference to our renovation project by having their guidance and expertise available at short notice, make improvements, and correct the issues when necessary, ultimately helping us save time and money.”
Anders Linnet, head greenkeeper at Kokkedal Golf Club in Denmark, says: “The Turfgrass Team has been a great support to our course with both their site visits and their online consultations. If we have an issue we send through pictures and videos and within 24 hours of me reaching out to them, we have a plan and a solution in place that can be immediately executed. These guys are the best at what they do and they have shown us how to work smarter and better with this efficient virtual service.”
