The proposed Trump International golf project in Scotland will not just be aimed at an elite audience of rich incomers, according to the developers.
After a public exhibition held in September, the Trump team has issued its responses to the ten most commonly asked questions. The statement from the Trump Organisation says the development will be “accessible to all and is not a gated community.” It says that pathways through the site will be provided for public access to the coastline, and that the beach will “remain fully accessible to the public.”
The statement from the Trump organisation also says that discounted green fees will be available to local residents, and emphasises that the potential use of Compulsory Purchase Orders, mooted as a means of acquiring the six additional parcels of land the developers say are needed to complete the project is a matter for Government. “We are currently negotiating with our neighbours regarding the acquisition of additional plots of land and hope to reach fair and amicable agreements,” the statement says.
