Signature Golf Group has taken over management of the River Oaks Golf Plantation in Myrtle Beach, and is to launch a major renovation of the course along with architect Craig Schreiner.

“The Otter course at River Oaks Golf Plantation will undergo a bunker renovation that will dramatically improve the strategy of each hole as well as the playing quality,” said Schreiner. “This enhancement will have a lasting positive impact for all that play the course and set the stage for the future renovation of the Fox and Bear courses as well.  Every shot will have more interest as a result of this thorough master planning project.  We are very experienced at this type of work and look forward to giving the Otter course a much needed upgrade.”

River Oaks has also joined the cooperative marketing efforts of Signature Golf Group. “I am very excited to work with River Oaks in reintroducing the course to the Myrtle Beach golf market. With new renovations and the great location of River Oaks we are confident we can make a positive impact to the operation,” said Scott Taylor, Signature’s director of marketing.
