The Indian golf market continues to expand, with Gary Player Design winning the contract to create a new course in the western city of Ahmedabad.

Real estate development firm bSafal is behind the Glade One project in Ahmedabad, India's fifth largest city. In addition to golf, Glade One will include a five star hotel and around 350 villas.

Ahmedabad was recently named India's fastest-growing city by Forbes. Player said he believed the country to be a key future market for golf. “The regional growth that has taken place in recent years is remarkable, and their passion for the game exciting,” he said.
