A new nine hole course will open this spring at The Eastern Golf Club in Yering, Australia.

Shark Waters by The Eastern Golf Club has been designed by a team from Greg Norman Golf Course Design.

Each of the course’s nine holes will be a par three, and the routing follows a ‘figure 8’ layout.

According to the club, each hole will have a set of designated tee markers, but the exact routing will ‘be largely left to the imagination of the individual’, allowing players to ‘tailor their own challenges and games’.

The first 18-hole course at The Eastern Golf Club opened back in October 2015, while an additional nine holes opened in October 2016. All 27 were designed by Greg Norman’s firm.

“We are very excited about the addition of Shark Waters by The Eastern Golf Club to our range of available golfing experiences,” said Ben Telley, general manager of The Eastern Golf Club. “It will offer members and guests who have time constraints with a shorter playing option while providing an environment that will test even the best golfers. The flexibility and freedom of the routing is perfectly suited to all levels of golfer, from juniors and beginners, through to the professional toning their game.”
