Swan Golf Designs (SGD) has been contracted to redesign the ninth hole at the Old Conna Golf Club, situated just south of Dublin.

Construction is slated to begin in early October, with Bremur Sports Turf acting as the main contractor and Irish Turfcare as the irrigation contractor.

The works will entail the construction of a new back tee, recontouring of the fairway to increase the size of the landing area and to improve its visibility from the tee, reshaping of the green surrounds and the implementation of a new bunker strategy.

Alongside the changes to the ninth hole SGD has designed and will oversee the construction of new bunkering and the upgrading of the teeing areas on the seventh and eighth holes.
