A new Pete Dye-designed course is set to open later this year at Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The new course plays between 5,000-7,000 yards and is the latest incarnation at the Keswick Hall site, which has hosted golf since 1948.

The original course design by Fred Findlay was renovated by Arnold Palmer’s firm in 1992. Pete Dye has said that the new Keswick Hall eighteen ‘will appear as a new course’.

“By building all new tee boxes, installing a new irrigation and drainage system, and adding new sand, the course will play entirely different than in the past,” explained Dye.

Former Dye associate Chris Lutzke, currently of the Albanese and Lutzke design firm, is supervising construction.
