A new nine hole course has opened at the Lyman Orchards club in Connecticut.

Designed by Massachusetts-based architect Mark Mungeam, the new Apple nine at Lyman Orchards will complement the club’s existing 36 holes, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr and Gary Player’s practices.

The course has seven par threes, ranging in length from 75-180 yards, and two par fours, each just over 300 yards. The holes have three sets of tees, making them playable for beginner golfers.

CEO Steve Ciskowski told the Middletown Press: “We wanted to make sure it was playable for all ages and skill levels and challenging for the experienced player. We thought the local market demand was there to support a facility such as this.”
