Students across the US are benefitting from the Golf Course Builders Association of America’s scholarship scheme.

This year, 43 scholarships will be awarded to students at 23 universities. The US$1,000 scholarships go to students pursuing degrees in landscape architecture, construction management, turfgrass management, professional golf management or engineering. Along with the cash, scholarship winners receive a two-year GCBAA membership. This membership allows students to network within the association and potentially creates job opportunities with other members.

"This scholarship program is yet another way the GCBAA Foundation is giving back to the industry," said Paul Foley, GCBAA’s executive director. "With the help of the foundation and its members who are matching the scholarships, we are able to reward those students who are the future of our industry."

This is the fourth consecutive year GCBAA has offered scholarships to students at participating universities. Since the program's inception, 140 scholarships have been awarded.
