KPMG has announced the speaker line-up for its seventh Golf Business Forum. The event is making its first foray outside Europe in 2010, being held at the Gloria golf resort in Belek, Turkey.
Golf legends Greg Norman and Annika Sorenstam – both of whom have extensive business interests in the industry, on top of their playing expertise – head the speaker list. Marketing advice will be provided by Mario Natarelli, CEO of global branding consultancy and Giovanni Gregoratti, director of Citi Real Estate & Lodging Group, will offer insight into the banking industry’s appetite for golf-related developments.
Greek developer Achilles Constantakopoulos, whose family company Temes is developing the Costa Navarino resorts in the south west of the country, Tenniel Chu of Mission Hills, Chris White, general manager of UAE-based Aldar Golf, and Haluk Kaya, of Turkish firm Bekay Property Partners, will represent the developer community. The event will be moderated by CNN International’s Justin Armsden, sports anchor and presenter of the Living Golf show.
There will also be a dedicated session discussing the prospects for Turkey as an emerging golf development sector, in addition to updates on the current economic state of the industry and financing trends, and opportunities within the golf industry on a local market level.
The Gloria resort has two eighteen hole courses, both designed by French architect Michel Gayon.
