IMG Design has signed an agreement with Hebei Shengtai Real Estate Development to design two new golf developments in China.

One site is located in Cang Zhou City, Hebei Province and will include a residential development integrated with the golf course. The second will be developed in Qinghuangdao City, also in Hebei province.

IMG has begun the design work on both projects. Construction is due to start soon in Cang Zhou, with the course to open for play in early 2011. “We are very pleased to have this opportunity to work with the Hebei Shengtai Group on these two golf course projects,” said Brit Stenson, IMG’s director of design. “The site in Cang Zhou is like an open canvass and gives us a great opportunity to build a very tournament friendly course that will also be fun and challenging for golfers of all abilities.”
