The new Huxley Golf all-weather green and practice facility has been opened at the Help for Heroes Recovery Centre at Tedworth House, Wiltshire, UK.

The 9-hole, 2,250 square feet putting green and adjacent double bay practice net were donated, in partnership with Huxley Golf, by Rugby’s Golf Club, a charity set up to support wounded soldiers and in support of Help for Heroes.

One of Help for Heroes’ four Recovery Centres across the UK Tedworth House is dedicated to helping both serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces who have suffered life changing injuries or illness while in service.

“This superb new golf facility provided by Rugby’s Golf Club and Huxley Golf will be much used and greatly appreciated by all our residents at Tedworth House,” said Bryn Parry, Help for Heroes co-founder. “Together with our existing ‘state of the art’ gym, sports and indoor ski areas, this will help us to provide the most advanced sporting and recreation facilities available. These play a vital role in providing relaxation and enjoyment, boosting confidence and personal independence, raising morale and developing camaraderie with colleagues. All this helps residents adapt to their new life.”
