Olympic course architect Gil Hanse will be the star attraction on a panel discussing sustainability at the KPMG Golf Business Forum in Italy next month.
Hanse, along with GCSAA boss Rhett Evans, Laurent Boissonnas of French course owner Open Golf Club, Jonathan Smith of the Golf Environment Organization and Mike Parkin of Syngenta, will focus on the three cornerstones of sustainability – people, profit and the planet – in relation to golf courses, resorts and residential communities.
Subjects to be covered include the holistic nature of sustainability, the ideal planning process to ensure long-term viability and the promotion of biodiversity.
The event will be hosted at the Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco resort in Barga, from 17-19 September. For more information, visit the GBF site.
