Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota, has partnered with Bobby Jones Links to renovate bunkers on its 27-hole course, The Pines.

The Pines layout comprises three nines (Lakes, Marsh and Woods), with work beginning in late September on the Lakes holes.

Work on each nine includes adding and renovating bunkers, as well as removing some that are no longer needed. The club will fill all bunkers with new Ohio white sand. The aim of the project is to improve the bunkers’ playability, aesthetics and drainage.

“This is a great investment for Grand View Lodge,” said director of golf Adam Haugen. “The level of the golf experience will be heightened for our guests and members. We look forward to getting this project started.”

While the Lakes closes in September for construction, the Woods and Marsh nines will remain open for the remainder of the 2022 season. One of the nines is typically closed in the spring and autumn for maintenance, so golfers are not expected to be impacted too much during the project.

Following work on the Lakes nine, the project will swift to Woods in spring 2023 before finishing with Marsh.
