Irish firm Jeff Howes Golf Design has expanded its operations in central Europe. The firm, which has already built a number of courses in the region, including Adamstal and Föhrenwald in Austria and Thunersee in Switzerland, has opened an office in Prague.

Australian expatriate Michael Bradley, who originally joined the Howes team last year as a site supervisor, has moved out to the Czech Republic to run the new office.

Bradley and the rest of the Howes team have a new European project to get their teeth into, as the company has signed a contract to design a new 18 hole course, driving range, short game area and greens nursery at Linsberg in Austria.

This follows the company's addition of five new holes at Golf Club Föhrenwald, where the the entire course was also redesigned and rerouted. The bunkers on the fourth holehave been named 'Jeff 's Trap' in honour of the architect.

Back home in Ireland, the company has moved to a new office in its hometown of Kilkenny.
