A one-day seminar covering a variety of topics across the golf course architecture industry will take place on 1 June.
Led by architects Frank Pont and Mike DeVries, the event will be held at Camberley Heath Golf Club in Surrey, UK.
The event aims to help increase the level of knowledge among the key decision makers in golf clubs of all relevant aspects of golf course architecture.
Following an introduction, the event’s morning session will cover subjects such as what is deemed beautiful on the golf course, the history of golf and golf course architecture, and the challenges faced by architects around routings, layouts and safety.
The afternoon session will look at natural landforms, the design of green complexes, hazards, and construction for both new build and renovation projects.
The event will cost £90 (ex VAT) per person, and £70 (ex VAT) for BIGGA members. If the bill is paid by a golf club with a VAT number no VAT will be charged.
