A new oceanfront golf course in Brazil is shortly to start construction.

The course, at the Ocean Dunes resort in the north of the country, is being developed by British Virgin Islands based firm Pioneer Land. Florida-based architect Ken Morgan will design the course, along with a yet to be confirmed signature name.

“This golf course has been planned as a signature design from the beginning. We are very excited to work on such a beautiful natural site for golf,” said Morgan.

“Being a part of this golf course is an honour and privilege and we are looking forward to more projects in Brazil and South America,” says Mike Russo, principal of Coast 2 Coast Consulting and Design Group, who will be in charge of the irrigation design for the project.

The project will become one of the first courses in Brazil to become a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program once completed.
