ASGCA names Greg Martin as association’s new president
Greg Martin has been announced as the new president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA).
A graduate of Iowa State University, Martin entered the industry in the mid-1980s. He set up the Martin Design Partnership in 1991, and has worked on a diverse range of projects at clubs across the American Midwest.
Based in Batavia, Illinois, Martin has created a number of new courses over the years, including those at Millwood Golf & Racquet Club, Springfield, Missouri; Rich Harvest Links. Sugar Grove, Illinois; and Wildridge at Mill Run, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Martin takes over from Steve Smyers in the role of the association’s president, and officially assumed the position at the ASGCA’s annual meeting, which takes place this week in Washington D.C., US.
