PROMOTED Hunter Industries Booth: 2127 Abama Golf in Tenerife, Spain, has long been celebrated for its stunning views and exceptional golfing experiences. However, the course had relied on an extensive and ageing irrigation system, which posed significant challenges for irrigation management. The club embarked on a phased transition to the Hunter Pilot Control Network. This upgrade saw the club gradually replacing its 31 VSX Field Controllers with 23 Pilot Field Controllers, while continuing to use its existing Surveyor software. This careful, stepby-step approach minimised disruptions and ensured a smooth transition, allowing the club to maintain optimal course conditions throughout the process. The subsequent installation of Hunter’s Pilot Command Center Software (CCS) provided centralised control and streamlined operations, further enhancing irrigation management. GreenScan 3D Booth: 2003 For 24 years, GreenScan 3D has been at the forefront of golf course design, using laser scanning and 3D modelling to ensure precision at every stage – before, during and after construction – helping clubs maintain top-quality putting surfaces. GreenScan 3D was recently involved in a project at Rancho La Quinta in Palm Springs, California. Superintendent Chris Erickson hired the technology specialists to help restore all 18 greens to their original grades after years of topdressing buildup. Using autograde control equipment, GreenScan 3D graded three greens per day, completing the project in just six days with one operator and no labour. Post-grading scans verified perfect accuracy, requiring no adjustments. This streamlined process saved time and ensured the greens were restored to their exact original specifications.
